Once in a while (as in most days), I stumble across some brilliant project or creation of someone's imagination that makes me wonder how someone managed to think of that (or hadn't thought of it before!). I would like to begin to highlight some of these discoveries as there is no better use of this space than to share inspiration.
Today I am going to start with a page that has given me endless laughs with its wittiness and impressed me with its blend of art of a sort, with art of another sort. Without further ado, I give you: Fly Art Productions.
Fly Art is self-described as "hip-hop lyrics on art," in the most simple of descriptions. But it is more than that - it takes the stories of renaissance or baroque or rococo paintings and blends them in a melancholic, hilarious, or apt way with rap lyrics of the same mood or line of storytelling. I've featured some of my favourites. Be sure to check them out at flyartproductions.tumblr.com or shoot them a follow on Instagram @flyartproductions. These ladies deserve all the success.
