Trendspotting: Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy
Come winter flurries and with the promise of Christmas Break hanging in the air, there arises an instinctive desire in me to start listening to my Tchaikovsky Nutcracker and Swan Lake soundtracks. There's something about the ballet that is so magical to me and I always seem to associate it with the romanticism of winter. The snow white tutus dusted with sparkling gems and the feathered headpieces seem to align with fluffy white snowflakes and the smell of sugar cookies baking. I think every girl has felt the pull of the ballet at some point in her life or can at least appreciate the grace and beauty of the regal ballerina.
With the influx of parties and gatherings to attend during the holidays, we can all use some inspiration to get out of our comfortable (and practical) sweatpants and unbundle from our blankets to head out into the chilly night of socializing and small-talk. Luckily I have come up with a few outfits inspired by and fit for a prima to revitalize your holiday party wardrobe.
